Last year, I had the pleasure of writing about Petco Park’s wine offerings. For those that like a little vino with their baseball games there is more good news: the ballpark is now offering Stella Rosa (a semi-sweet, semi-sparkling wine) in aluminum bottles. See below for the official press release. Cheers!
Southern California’s very own Riboli family of San Antonio Winery is proud to debut its brand new Stella Rosa single-serve aluminum bottles at Petco Park. Padres fans will be among the first in the state to enjoy their favorite semi-sweet, semi-sparkling wine in sleek 8.5 oz. aluminum bottles. The beautiful European design with a resealable twist-off cap offers fans the perfect way to enjoy Stella Rosa from the comfort of their seats or anywhere in the ballpark. The bottles are compact, shatterproof, recyclable, and chill quickly, making them ideal to enjoy America’s #1 imported Italian wine.
“We are very excited to introduce this innovative packaging of Stella Rosa to our longtime customers and fans of the Padres,” said Steve Riboli, vice president of San Antonio Winery. “We wanted to create a more convenient way for them to enjoy their favorite wine, and we are honored to be able to debut it to Padres fans at Petco Park.”
The aluminum bottles feature top-seller Stella Rosa Black and Platinum, both part of Stella Rosa’s luxury collection. Stella Rosa Black bursts with natural flavors of ripe blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry, while Stella Rosa Platinum has delicious, refreshing notes of crisp green apple, creamy vanilla, and fragrant elderflower. Both are best enjoyed chilled either alone or with a variety of delicious food options available throughout Petco Park.
The Riboli family is proud to continue its partnership with the Padres for the second year in a row, offering fans the opportunity to enjoy a variety of its wines from inside Petco Park. Aside from the new Stella Rosa single-serve bottles, fans can also purchase a stellar lineup of Riboli Family Wines, including award-winning reds like Maddalena Cabernet Sauvignon, Maddalena Merlot, Maddalena Zinfandel, San Simeon Pinot Noir, and San Simeon Cabernet Sauvignon. They can also choose from crisp and refreshing whites like Villa Alena Pinot Grigio, and award-winning Maddalena and San Simeon Chardonnays. If they’re in the mood for some bubbly, they can enjoy award-winning Stella Rosa Prosecco. And those fans thirsting for some refreshing sangria can opt for delicious Bodega de San Antonio Sangria, a 25-year family recipe. These wines can be found in the San Antonio Wine Cellar located in the Lexus Home Plate Club, the Lexus Home Plate Lounge, luxury suites, and Seaside Market. Fans can purchase wines by the glass or even a whole bottle, which they can then enjoy from a plastic carafe in the comfort of their seats.
For those wanting to experience a bit of Napa Valley at Petco Park, they can choose from the Santo Stefano Cabernet Sauvignon and the Riboli Family Cabernet Sauvignon, both made with the finest grapes from the family’s vineyard in the heart of Napa Valley’s Rutherford appellation. These two options are offered throughout the ballpark.
San Antonio Winery has been delighting wine fans for 99 years, and now Padres fans have the opportunity to enjoy its wide selection of award-winning wines while watching their favorite team in action. Riboli Family Wines looks forward to stellabrating a winning Padres season with this perfect pairing!
